1. You do not need to pay attention to the bushing sizes, or steam system type. That information is for us. Just the size and perhaps EDR.

2. Normally you will be replacing an existing radiator that is faulty, so just look for a radiator with similar dimensions. It doesn’t have to be exact though.

3. If you need to size a radiator for a room, the output of steam radiators is measured in EDR. Here is the formula:
(Square foot of the room x 55 BTUs) ÷ 240 = EDR, + or - 10% is okay.

If the home is well insulated you can use 50 instead of 55.
